Most cribs have slats that ensure that the parents have a clear view of the occupant. Baby crib safety states that the slats should no be too wide apart that the baby can fit his or her head through and get stuck. Cut outs in wooden beds should also be avoided especially smaller ones where baby might stick his or her hand in and this may get stuck.

Baby crib safety is something that needs careful consideration. The baby can be hurt or injured due to choosing cribs based on appearance and convenience not on safety.
